It is with sadness that the club has learned of the passing of Norman Hyde. Norman was an active pulling member of Wood Treatment Bosley Tug of War Club during the 1950's, 60's, 70's and early 80's, and continued to be involved with the club during the 80's, 90's and early 2000's, helping out in training and also maintained our training facilities.
Norman was a member of the Bosley team that went unbeaten at the AAA championships for 20 years, and represented England on several occasions, winning many World and European titles.
Norman will be sadly missed by everyone. We pass on our condolences to all of his family and friends. Norman leaves behind daughter Wendy, sons Jon, Andrew and Terry, 7 grand children and 2 great grandchildren.

Wood Treatment Bosley Tug of War Club, are based in Bosley, near Macclesfield, Cheshire, and are members of the English Tug of War Association. The team compete most weekends at events around the country. The team also competes at National and International Level.
